Modi vs RSS:Modi out to mis-use his power as PM, out to target RSS ?

Modi out to mis-use his power as PM, out to target RSS ?

Has the war begin ...

As Narendra Modi’s grip on the BJP weakens, a new political crisis brews,  not from the opposition, but from within his own ideological family: the RSS.

At the heart of this unfolding power struggle is Modi’s desperate attempt to safeguard his PM chair, even if it means turning against the very organization that created him.

The Trigger: BJP’s Next Party President

The upcoming appointment of the BJP National President has turned into a battlefield. For the first time since Modi rose to power, the choice may slip out of his control.

Names in serious contention include:

Sanjay Joshi - Modi’s long-time rival.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan - A mass leader with independent standing.

Vasundhara Raje Scindia - A royal with her own power base.

Nitin Gadkari - Credible, blunt, and no puppet of Modi.

Modi’s own suggestions for a loyalist president have reportedly been rejected , both by the RSS and senior BJP leadership.

If a non-loyalist takes over as BJP President, Modi faces the nightmare scenario of losing organizational control , possibly forcing him out as PM.

*The RSS Revolt: Bhagwat’s Deadline

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s recent remarks about leadership retirement at age 75 were no coincidence. With Modi turning 75 in September 2025, Bhagwat’s message was clear:
“Time to step aside.”

Reportedly, Bhagwat and top Sangh leaders are pushing for leadership change , both within BJP and at the national level.

*The Blackmail Playbook: Modi Targets RSS?*

Faced with this internal rebellion, Modi appears ready to strike where no leader has before , against the RSS itself.

*Credible unconfirmed political whispers suggest:*

Mohan Bhagwat’s own family members are now under ED, IT, and CBI surveillance.

His nephew, reportedly caught in a honey-trap, could be used as leverage.

Several distant relatives who gained prominence over the last decade are being probed for financial irregularities.

State agencies are keeping close watch on RSS’s Nagpur headquarters, especially after the annual Guru Puja and Guru Dakshina concluded last week end. Hoping to find material to embarrass and corner Sangh leaders.

In short, Modi’s machinery may be assembling blackmail dossiers against Bhagwat and Sangh’s inner circle.

The aim?
Force Bhagwat to relent , allowing Modi to retain power and install a puppet BJP President.

*Catch 22: Modi’s Dilemma*

If Bhagwat succeeds, Modi faces being replaced or weakened within the BJP.

If Modi escalates, using state agencies to corner RSS, he risks triggering an ideological backlash, even a saffron civil war within the Hindutva group.

Modi’s strategy of surrounding himself with loyalists, while sidelining merit, is backfiring. The Sangh Parivar itself now views him as the obstacle to ideological continuity.

*Conclusion: Saffron vs Saffron*

From silencing the media, weaponizing agencies, and suppressing dissent, Modi’s authoritarian methods are now being turned against his own ideological parents.

For the first time in India’s post-1947 politics:

The state machinery may be used to blackmail and subdue the RSS ?

Sangh’s leadership may be fighting for its own autonomy.

Modi’s throne stands shakier than ever.

Sangh vs Saheb. Saffron vs Saffron. Blackmail vs Bharat.

*“Sangh Parivar Begins Soul-Searching as Modi Tightens His Grip”*

The Sangh ideology, which for nearly a century has driven not just the RSS, but over 35 affiliated organizations, including the BJP, appears to have entered a phase of introspective crisis.

What began as a movement rooted in selfless service, discipline, and ideological clarity is now confronting unsettling questions:

Has the Sangh lost control of its own political creation?

Has one individual , Modi , eclipsed the collective ideology?

Is loyalty to personality now replacing loyalty to principles?

As Modi seeks to centralize power, even to the extent of sidelining or cornering RSS leadership itself, the Sangh Parivar is reportedly engaged in rare soul-searching.

For the first time, leaders and swayamsevaks alike are asking:

What is the future of the ideological movement if it merely serves the ambitions of one leader?

Is the BJP now bigger than the Sangh? Or is it a pawn that escaped control?

Has Modi become larger than the mission itself?

The RSS ,  once the ideological mentor of the BJP , now finds itself at a critical inflection point:

Stay silent and allow its political wing to morph into a personality cult?

Or intervene, risking a direct confrontation with its most successful political product?

What was once a movement, may now be fighting for its soul.

Unveiling the "Real Majority" of India

Unveiling the "Real Majority": Divya Dwivedi’s Critique of the Hindu Majority Narrative * In contemporary Indian discourse, the notion of a "Hindu majority" is often taken as an unassailable fact, with official statistics frequently citing approximately 80% of India’s population as Hindu. This framing shapes political campaigns, cultural narratives, and even national identity. However, philosopher and professor at IIT Delhi, Divya Dwivedi, challenges this narrative in her provocative and incisive work, arguing that the "Hindu majority" is a constructed myth that obscures the true social composition of India. For Dwivedi, the "real majority" comprises the lower-caste communities—historically marginalized and oppressed under the caste system—who form the numerical and social backbone of the nation. Her critique, developed in collaboration with philosopher Shaj Mohan, offers a radical rethinking of Indian society, exposing the mechanisms of power t...

Mallanna Unleashes TRP: A New Dawn for Marginalized Voices in Telangana's Power Game

On September 17, 2025, Chintapandu Naveen Kumar, popularly known as Teenmar Mallanna—a prominent Telugu journalist, YouTuber, and former Congress MLC—launched the Telangana Rajyadhikara Party (TRP) in Hyderabad at the Taj Krishna Hotel. The event, attended by Backward Classes (BC) intellectuals, former bureaucrats, and community leaders, marked a significant moment for marginalized groups in Telangana. Mallanna, suspended from Congress in March 2025 for anti-party activities (including criticizing and burning the state's caste survey report), positioned TRP as a dedicated platform for BCs, Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), minorities, and the economically weaker sections. The party's vision emphasizes "Samajika Telangana" (a socially just Telangana) free from fear, hunger, corruption, and prejudice, with a focus on inclusive development and responsible governance. Key highlights from the launch: Symbolism : The date coincided with Periyar Jayanti and V...

Raise of RSS-affiliated think tanks

Since 2014, the number of think tanks affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has significantly increased. India had 192 think tanks in 2014, which surged to 612 by 2021, reflecting a notable rise in nationalist-oriented institutions like the India Foundation and the Vivekananda International Foundation  This growth is part of a broader strategy to challenge leftist intellectual dominance and promote a "New India" ideology through policy research and public discourse. The main goals of RSS-affiliated think tanks include: Promoting Hindutva Ideology : They aim to spread the ideology of Hindutva to strengthen the Hindu community and uphold Indian culture and civilizational values Challenging Leftist Dominance : These think tanks seek to counter the intellectual hegemony of leftist ideologies in India, providing an alternative narrative in policy discourse Supporting Government Policies : They produce research and reports that s...
