Congress Government’s Budget: A Shameless Betrayal of Backward Classes
The Blue India Party unequivocally condemns the Congress-led state government’s ₹3,05,000 crore budget—a disgraceful document that exposes the ruling party’s contempt for Backward Classes (BCs). Far from delivering the promised “people’s governance,” this budget is a slap in the face to BCs, cementing a regime that serves the elite while trampling the marginalized underfoot.
A Budget of Blatant Injustice
The allocations lay bare the government’s callous neglect:
1. BCs, 46.25% of the population, are insulted with a measly 3.74% (₹11,405 crore).
2. Scheduled Castes (SCs), at 17.43%, get 13.19% (₹40,232 crore)—still short of their due.
3. Scheduled Tribes (STs), at 10.45%, receive 5.63% (₹17,169 crore)—barely half their share.
4. Minorities, 14% of the populace, are tossed a pitiful 1.18% (₹3,591 crore).
For BCs—nearly half the state—this is an outrage. Funded by taxes to which BCs contribute half, this budget should reflect their rightful stake. Instead, the Congress government hands them crumbs, proving its priorities lie with the privileged, not the people.
Empty Promises, Broken Trust
Before the last Assembly elections, Congress dangled glittering pledges: a caste census, 42% reservations for BCs across education, jobs, industry, and contracts, and a Mahatma Jyotiba Phule BC Sub-Plan with ₹20,000 crore yearly—₹1 lakh crore over five years—for BC upliftment. These were not mere words; they were a manifesto sworn to voters. Yet, in power, the government has delivered a mockery: ₹9,000 crore last year, a paltry ₹11,000 crore now. This isn’t shortfall—it’s sabotage. The Congress has spat on its own promises, leaving BCs economically crippled while its leaders bask in power.
Hypocrisy Exposed
The government’s duplicity is staggering. It trumpets an incomplete caste census as a triumph, yet slashes BC funding to a pittance. Its leaders thank the Chief Minister for half-measures while BCs languish. What answers do these sycophants have for this budget’s betrayal? Why do they defend a sham survey and expect BCs to swallow this injustice in silence? The Congress cannot secure fair allocations because it doesn’t care to—its gratitude is reserved for power, not people.
A Government of Elites, Not Equals
This is no anomaly; it’s a pattern. Budget after budget, the Congress sidelines BCs, who prop up its electoral victories. BCs fill party ranks, win seats for MLAs and MPs, and hand power to leaders—yet reap nothing but neglect. They toil to fuel the state’s economy, even shielding this government’s misdeeds, only to be pushed deeper into the margins. This isn’t governance—it’s exploitation by a party drunk on privilege and deaf to justice.
Demand for Accountability
The Blue India Party demands:
1. An immediate reversal of this anti-BC budget and allocations matching their 46.25% population share.
2. A full accounting for why Congress reneged on its ₹1 lakh crore pledge—where did the money go?
3. An end to hollow gestures like incomplete caste surveys, replaced by real action on reservations and welfare.
A Call to Rise
To BCs across the state: this government thrives on your votes, yet starves your future. Over half the population, you hold the power—yet remain pawns in Congress’s game. Look to SC communities, who’ve fought for and won their constitutional share. The Blue India Party urges you: reject this betrayal. Build a political force to seize what’s yours. Serving a government that cheats you is not loyalty—it’s servitude.
Time for Reckoning
The Congress Party’s reign is a historic fraud against BCs—a legacy of broken promises and brazen inequity. The Blue India Party will not stand idle. We call on all BCs to awaken, unite, and demand justice. Question this government at every turn. Roar for your share. Until Congress delivers, it deserves neither your trust nor your vote.
